Two main music festivals that have dominated Singapore are Singfest and Baybeats. Both festivals have staged local, regional and international stage. Local youths and youths from Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, United States and Australia flock to Singapore to witness the various acts performing. This year’s Singfest featured artiste like Kanye West, Katy Perry, Tokio Hotel and so much more.

On the other hand, Baybeats is a cosier event. Performances are held at Esplanade’s theatre by the bay. The festival showcases talented local, regional and international bands. The three day festival brings to audience a line-up of alternative music. What’s more? IT’S FREE!

Music festivals are not the only festival we are limited to either. There are film festivals and the Arts festivals. For example, the Singapore Arts Festival is a celebration of Singapore’s artistic and cultural life. The month long festival featuring theatre, dance and music is a popular event amongst locals and visitors alike. Recently, Singapore also held the Sun Festival. It highlights the best of music, art, wine, cuisine and wellness. Many Grammy winning artiste have performed at this festival too.

To celebrate Singapore’s multi-racial culture, every cultural and racial event is taken into account. When these festive seasons are due, Singapore never fails to host festivals and decorate the streets with lights and ornaments. It really fulfils one’s desire to immerse in the culture of the different races.

Even though so many festivals have been mentioned, there are many more that have not been pointed out. Why not come down to Singapore and experience some of these festivals?
