One late night activity that has been synonymous with Singapore’s nightlife is the clubbing scene. Countless clubs and bars line the Singapore River Bay. Others are tucked quietly away in the corner of town. The main cluster of clubs is situated in Clarke Quay. Every night, this district pulsates with energy; never allowing you to have a dull moment.

Clubs and bars have captivated both locals and tourists all around the world. Perhaps what makes Singapore’s clubs and bars so internationally acclaim are their well-orchestrated concepts. The different atmospheres of each unique club and bar cater to the various demographic groups. Themes of clubs and bars are accentuated through the interior décor and visual displays. This is accompanied with the distinctive genres of music playing at each club or bar.

Alcoholic drinks averages from about $8 to $15. Although, most clubs and bars has a happy hour in the evenings. Discounts can be as much as 50% on house pour and drafts. Most clubs charge covers. However, the cover charge usually includes a complimentary drink. Ladies, look out for ladies night! Ladies get free entry and sometimes, drinks are for free too.

Bars and clubs frequently hold events to keep the ball rolling. These events typically engage prominent DJs. There are also special offers and promotions on drinks. Occasionally or annually, some establishments will throw a big bash. Zoukout for example has become one of the largest dance and music festival in the Southeast Asian region.

If you choose to drown into the sounds of our home-grown talents strumming their guitars away in bars or dance the night away, traditional or the unconventional, the quiet or the loud, we are sure that there is a right place for you to hang out.

Stay tuned for more tomorrow!
